Two Steps from Traffic

Picture
"The sex worker who drugged me and raped me in October 2010, almost got to keep me. It was close. If it hadn't been for my broken back, I would have gone to meet him at the hotel at 7:00 PM. The drug made me want to go. I wanted more, but I could barely move. He had been a little rough with me in bed, and it had thrown my back out. I spent the next three days lying in my tent at Pismo Beach State Park, withdrawing and recovering. It just goes to show that we just don't know. Our biggest burden could be our greatest blessing. Thank God for my bad back." (FLIGHT p. 87)
